can I even begin to describe my insane nerves at the anticipation of meeting THE couple whose wedding I am to photograph in only a few short months? hardly. I mean, this is a HUGE thing, huge. I want it to be beyond perfection and capture every emotion they feel that day. but from the moment kelly's gracious smile and keith's warm gestures graced my presence, I knew not only would our engagement session be filled with ease and amazing fun, but that my nerves would hardly be able to withstand the anticipation of the opportunity to shoot their big day. I am SO excited and thrilled to be there as their love is shared by those closest to them....you guys are just THE coolest.


asking me to pick a favorite from our day together? impossible. but two images do stand out as absolutely stunning to me....followed by an insane amount of laughter and love that exude every shot..and this isn't even a third of them...

I mean seriously, could they BE any more fun and in love? marriage is going to be such an amazing adventure for you both and I am so grateful to be a small part of it.

the simple things...

reminded me this past weekend how we cannot capture time, no matter how hard we may try...and that it's the little things that we really remember and that actually mean something to us...

the sheer thrill of your first cotton candy on a stick...











seeing the adorable children you used to babysit, eat macaroni and cheese and watch Are You Afraid of the Dark every Saturday night with for what feels like an eternity, graduate from high school themselves and begin amazing lives of their own....




playing sports when winning wasn't really all that important, it was just fun to be part of a team...




realizing that another one of your "kids" that you have tutored since pre-kindergarten is going to be in fourth grade...







playing on the beach without a care in the world.....






the simple things. may they always remind us what an incredible gift life truly is, even when your day starts out with your son having a blow-out that requires a hose down, and the dog steals all of the kids' snacks from off of the couch as they scream in sheer horror, and then you burn the waffles and your son decides to feed his breakfast to the dog anyways. sometimes I really need to be reminded that life is good.




because it really is.
